80% Sangiovese, 18% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. Taking the essence of the Cypress trees surrounding our vineyards, the nose begins with hints of a resinous forest quality and gives way to aromas of cherries and spice with a slight hint of pipe tobacco on the finish. Layers of orange peel and lemon candy citrus notes along with candied cherry flavors dominate the mouth. These fruit flavors slowly surrender to a lingering finish of licorice and tobacco. Pair with Pappardelle al Cinghiale, Asiago Cheese, Manchego Cheese, Roasted Chicken, Tortellini Bolognesi. Decant one hour before enjoying with family, friends, and food.
80% Sangiovese 15% Merlot 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The Chianti Classico Riserva has floral notes of violets and irises on the nose, with hints of earth and vines. The palate is dominated by dark, lush plums and ripe black cherries, with a slight hint of mushrooms, enveloped in soft, velvet tannins with a balanced tingle of acidity. The wine finishes with the classic Chianti Classico signature of dark chocolate and tobacco, with lingering hints of orange peel.
This new Chianti Classico, made with grapes from estates situated in the heart of the historical zone of production, has 95% Sangiovese, 5% Merlot. The vinification is obtained through maceration of the must for 8-10 days with short and frequent pumping over to extract color. It is fantastic with meat and first courses.
An old fashioned Chianti with bass notes of earth and smoke, this has juicy red fruit with some high-toned volatile esters that pull in a different direction, building tension into the wine's structure. The earthy flavors last, ready to drink with braised pork.
This spectacular wine is made with grapes from the farms of Rocca delle Macie. For this wine we blend 90% Sangiovese, 5% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in French oak barrels for two years, can be cellared for 10-15 years.
