This is Syrah through the lens of experience in the distinctive cool-climate Santa Barbara wine country. Ex Post Facto, translated to mean “After the Fact”, encapsulates winemaker Greg Brewer's slightly deviant desire to go outside his Brewer-Clifton paradigm to explore an outside muse. Sixty days on the skins and stems. Aromas of dried blackberry, on the palate, there's peppercorn, black cherry and raspberry. The finish is firm, dry and persistent.
